Feast Day is a very festive event at Challenger School. Preschoolers learn about the first Thanksgiving and celebrate with activities, songs, and an in-class feast that they help prepare. Students come to the tables wearing Pilgrim hats, bonnets, or American Indian headbands they’ve made.
Elementary students’ families have an opportunity to enjoy lunch together and celebrate the blessings of freedom and prosperity. On the last day of school before Thanksgiving Break, the lunch caterer offers a special feast.* Parents may order a feast from the caterer for themselves and/or their elementary-aged children. Those who don’t want to purchase the lunch can bring their own from home.
*Kindergarten participation varies by campus. Parents may contact their campus office or refer to the invitations that they receive from their child’s teacher.
