Kate W. (Salt Lake, UT) won first place in state for the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) American History Essay Contest and took the first-place prize of all fifth-graders nationwide! Kate had the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., to receive a National Winner Certificate, pin, and monetary award, presented at the DAR annual Continental Congress in June 2024!
